With the introduction of Auditor Connect, MyVCM now introduces the ability to share your data with external MyVCM users.
Here's how you'll be able to now share your data.
Data Sharing in Auditor Connect
With the powerful efficiency of being able to obtain pricing, accept contract terms, and work with your External Auditor all within the MyVCM platform, Data Sharing provides the ability for you to share your MyVCM entities and artifacts directly with your auditor from directly within your MyVCM instance. This exponentially cuts down the time it takes to complete your audit, utilizing MyVCM as both the system of record for your evidence, as well as the tool that will be used to complete your 3rd-party audit.
With that efficiency, we realize the need to be able to protect when your MyVCM data is made available. Data Sharing provides for the ability to control when someone can view the artifact all together, or can download any files or attachments associated with the MyVCM entity or artifact.
Utilizing the evidence feature in the MyVCM CrossWalk Assessments module, a MyVCM Premier Audit Partner can view and download your evidence uploaded as evidence on an Auditor Connect assessment in which you have provided your External Auditor access through Auditor Connect.
How to Use Data Sharing
To toggle your Data Sharing controls, just select the checkbox on an Auditor Assessment, to bring up the data sharing menu.
Next, a window popup allows you to choose the option to restrict or permit the ability of your External Auditor to View or Download your MyVCM artifacts and entities.
Data Sharing is a powerful new way to improve the way organizations share sensitive data to improve efficiency, but also how they're able to control the flow of that data once it leaves their environment.
